Shabby Chic in downtown Hampton to close

Shabby Chic, an art, décor and furniture store in Hampton, will close its doors on Sunday.

The owner, Regina Mays, says she “just needed to do something different” after 13 years in her Queens Way store. Mays says she plans to open a private studio in the same building to continue her artwork. Her new business, Crabtown Studio, will operate mostly online and at local farmers’ markets.

Everything in Shabby Chic, except for artwork, is marked down by 50 percent.
